CS LEVELS WITH WORLDCRAFT

| This tutorial will show you the process of setting
up Worldcraft to make counter-strike levels, then go through the basic
entities involved with counter-strike levels. |
| Note that in order to set up Worldcraft for
counter-strike editing, you will need the counter-strike fgd file. This
is available from the valve-erc's
files section. |
| Setting up Worldcraft. |
| First launch Worldcraft, then go to
Tools>Options and the options dialog will come up. Click the 'Game
configurations' tab. Then next to the top drop down menu, click 'edit'.
This is where you specify the different games that Worldcraft can make
levels for. |
| Click 'Add' then type in 'Counter-strike'. Press
'Ok' then 'close'. Counter-strike has now been added to the list of
games. Drop the menu down and select counter strike if it is not already
selected. |
| Below this is the game data files. Here you will
need to select the files which will tell Worldcraft how to make
Counter-strike levels. Click the 'add' button and browse to where you
saved the counter-strike fgd file and double click it. |
| Change the directorys at the bottom of the options
screen to whatever is suitable for your computer, then click the
'textures' tab. |
| Here you specify what textures Worldcraft will use
to texture the surfaces in your counter-strike levels. To add some
textures, click 'add WAD' then browse to your Counter-strike directory
and select whatever WADs you wish to use. For example, when making a
dust level add the de_dust4.wad file. |
| Click 'OK' at the bottom of the options dialog and
Voila, Worldcraft is now set up to edit counter-strike levels. You can
start a counter-strike level by going to File>new. Then select
'Counter-strike' and press OK. |
